Camellia japonica 'Solomon's Best Dwarf'

  • $25.00

This slow-growing, dense cultivar comes from a plant found in Judge Solomon's garden in Savannah, GA. Pink, formal double flowers bloom mid-season. At first this plant grows quickly but slows down as it gets older. I expect it will be 4' tall after 10 years. The leaf size is typical for Camellia japonica. The stripes on this one is a developmental stripe rather than stripes from the jumping genes. The stripes can vary from none to quite distictive.

Hardy to USDA Zone: 7b-9
