The "Blizzard of Niigata" (transl.) has subtly striking variegated leaves:  a paler margin surrounds the dark green center while the entire surface is speckled from almost white to dark green.  Tubular to bell-shaped flowers complement the display.  Found as a wild mutation of C. japonica var rusticana in Niigata Prefecture, Japan, circa 1960.
