Caryopteris divaricata 'Snow Fairy'
This variegated Bluebeard is a Japanese selection of the perennial Himalayan native. The variegated foliage has a pungent smell which repels pests, including deer. In late summer, small clusters of blue flowers appear, creating a blue haze above the bright silver-green foliage. But back to the ground after the first frost; it will return in spring, creating a rounded shrub. Plant in part to full sun, with moist well drained soil. [4'T X 3'W, Zones 5-9]
