Camellia japonica 'Bishônen'
(transl. 'Beautiful Boy') Large, Higo form flowers have a pink background with a peppering of deeper pink, carmine stripes and marks, and the characteristic Higo burst of golden anthers. The bloom is mid- to late-season and the growth habit is spreading. This is a sport of Higo 'Shintsukasa-nishiki' and from the Higo collection of Ohta Nursery in Kumamoto, Japan.
