Camellia x 'Christmas Eve'
This 2008 introduction shows bright pink, semi-double flowers while most other plants are dormant. New growth appears bronze-red and fades to a deep glossy green. Though it puts on a decent display in our protected garden sites, this small tree (+/-15 year growth) will do best in zones 8 and 9 where the bloom period won't be interrupted by freezing temperatures.
