Camellia japonica 'Showa-no-hikari'
"Light of Showa" (transl.) has a simple, radiant flower. Deeper pink veining appears at the center of light pink petals, surrounded by an irregular white border. Yellow filaments are widely flared for the perfect Higo form. A variegated leaf sport of 'Yamato Nishiki' introduced in Japan, circa 1960.
