Hydrangea luteovenosa 'Aureovariegata'
This interesting, new-to-us hydrangea grows as a semi-evergreen mounding shrub. Dark purple-brown young branches bear umbrellas of white aging to yellow flowers in mid-summer. The green leaves vary from pale to dark, leathery green, with an occasional splash of viral variegation. This species requires partial shade and evenly moist soil, similar to H. macrophylla.
