Viburnum macrocephalum

Viburnum macrocephalum

  • $40.00

This "Chinese Snowball Tree" has a rounded upright form, growing to 15-20’ tall at maturity.  Flowers in early spring but will often have a second bloom with the onset of cooler autumn temperatures.  Large, hydrangea-like clusters make wonderful cut-flowers.  Flower buds appear lime green but open to pure white. The flowers are not fragrant, but are excellent as cuts for indoor arrangements, lasting over a week.  Though deciduous farther north, the dark green leaves manage semi-evergreen status here in the NC piedmont.  Flowers are sterile, making this a well behaved garden specimen. [10'T x 10'W, Zones 6-9]
