(zone 7-9)- A Camellia Forest Introduction! The white blooms continue for an extended period in early to mid spring which is unusual for Magnolia which often bloom only for a brief period. The flowers have a nice fragrance. This is a selected cross between M. laevifolia and M. maudiae that Clifford Parks made quite easily. The tree appears to be taking the habit of the M. maudiae parent, which means it will grow into a small tree. One year this made an impressive late summer bloom after a wet and rainy period.
