Camellia x 'Kai Mei's Choice'
The three-dimensional, rose-form flowers of this selection open to a clear rose-red in late autumn and early winter. As a result, this cultivar is best grown in localities where severe freezes hold off until late December or January. The flowers are striking in both color and form, but retain the delicate structure of C. sasanqua. This was our Matriarch's favorite fall blooming Camellia, thus it's name. A Camellia Forest introduction, 1995.
