Camellia sasanqua 'Yuletide'
This is one of the only true reds found among fall blooming Camellias. The plant has a wonderful compact form with small dark green leaves, but the buds can be cold-sensitive and suffer damage from December freezes. We suggest planting 'Yuletide' in a very protected spot and covering with a cardboard box or frost blanket over freezing nights. Introduced in 1970 by Nuccio's Nurseries of California.
