Camellia japonica 'Mathotiana'
Recorded as a seedling of C. japonica 'Anemoneflora' x C. japonica 'Sieboldii', this cultivar originated in Belgium and first appeared in Camellia literature in 1847. Blooms are long-lasting and can fade to violet-red.
