Camellia sinensis 'Queen Mother'
So named for the large number of seedlings she created. We have cloned her and she has very shiny leaves and an open growth habit! We have made delicious black tea with notes of hot chocolate and malt. The black tea from this has complex flavors making it quite exceptional. The plant prefers more shade than some other tea varieties.
