Reportedly a more compact Summersweet cultivar with larger flowers. A deciduous shrub with white fragrant flowers native to eastern North America that blooms in late summer (July-August).
It will reach 3 to 6 feet high and just as wide. Plant in full sun to part shade in consistently moist, acidic and sandy soils. It will tolerate clay soils and full shade.
The word "clethra" comes from the Greek klethra, which means 'alder', so named for the resemblance to its leaves.
