A stunning dwarf conifer introduced by Iseli Nursery in Oregon that has bright yellow new growth in spring and summer (pictures taken in July) that fades to green later in the season. A great specimen for a pot or in a rock garden. Protect from hot afternoon sun. Cold hardy to zone 6 (0 to -10 degrees Fahrenheit).
Growth rate, habit: 2-4 inches per year, broad and upright habit
Mature size: 3'H X 2'W
Soil/water: prefers well-drained, moist and slightly acidic, adaptable to different soil types
Cold hardiness temperature: 0 to -10 Fahrenheit (zone 6)
Light: full sun to partial shade/dappled shade
Features: bright new growth, dwarf
Special considerations: not recommended past zone 9, resistant to deer
