Also known as "weeping Texas swamp privet", among other common names, this hardy semi-evergreen shrub is native to Texas and a member of the olive family. It is considered to be useful as a hedge, is both drought, heat, and salt resistant and flourishes in full sun. Expect its small clusters of yellow blooms to appear in mid-spring (March).
