Ginkgo biloba prefer full sun and moist, sandy, well-drained soils, but they are tolerant of alkaline and acidic soils, compacted soils, air pollution, heat, extreme cold and deer! This is an ancient deciduous tree that is considered to be a living fossil, since it is the only surviving member of a group of plants believed to have grown on earth up to 150 million years ago.

The 'Chi-Chi' cultivar is a multi-stemmed shrub form of the ginkgo tree. It is a male clone with a unique and lumpy bark texture and has a dense, mounded and very slow growing habit. Great for hedges, foundations, borders or bonsai.
