Illicium floridanum 'Swamp Hobbit'

A dwarf variety of Florida anise tree that is expected to reach 1 to 2 feet tall and 5 feet wide at maturity. Like other Florida anise, site in plenty of shade and give plenty of water. Florida anise is not drought resistant and prefers part shade. Hardy to zone 7 and native to the Southeastern U.S. Like most other illicium, this variety also has low severity poison characteristics, so site carefully.
