Magnolia figo from Zelma Crockett

This banana shrub comes from the garden of the late Zelma Crockett, an avid gardener and Camellia grower from Virginia Beach. Clones of plants that have been grown for long periods are proven survivors, probably more cold hardy and tougher in general. This plant has small yellowish to maroon flowers with fragrance of banana or other tropical smells. It grows to be a small tree of 15-20 feet tall and 10-15 feet wide.
