Osmanthus yunnanensis

This evergreen shrub to small tree has narrow oblong leaves with spiny edges. Mature plants may lose the spines and have almost entire leaves. The blooms come out in early spring. Probably a zone 8B plant as a plant in Clemson, SC showed cold injury to some stems.
