Ilex crenata 'Dwarf Pagoda', Japanese Holly
Tiny, dark, rounded leaves with short internodes deliver an almost Boxwood appearance, but with a dramatic punch. Irregular branching and upright growth build to a dense, artistic form, rivaling the year-round interest of dwarf conifers. Growing only 3" per year allows this Holly to keep it's appealing shape, without the incessant maintenance of it's larger, more prickly brethren.
An exquisite specimen for rock gardens and containers, this petite plant is also great choice for bonsai! [4'T x 2'W, Zones 6b-9]
