Quercus x rhysophylla

The "Loquat Leaf Oak" is a species in the "Red Oak" section. This evergreen species is native to Mexico, and survives well in high heat and milder winter temperatures. It grows into a dense, handsome tree with little maintenance once established. This can suffer from winter die back in climates with sustained freezing, so plant in a protected site. Full sun to part shade and well drained soil will encourage vigorous growth. [50'T X 30'W, Zones 8-10]
