Camellia japonica 'Lilliputian' at Camellia Forest Nursery

Camellia japonica 'Lilliputian'

  • $25.00

In the mid 1980s, Barry Yinger collected Camellia seeds near the demilitarized zone in South Korea.  These have turned out to be some of the most cold hardy Camellias available.

Formerly known as 'Tiny Tot', this plant comes from one of those seedlings.  Exceptionally slow and spreading growth habits lead us to expect that this plant will only reach about 2'T x 4'W in ten years.  True red flowers grace the surface of this plant in early fall, despite it's known C. japonica parent.  Extreme cold hardiness is yet untested.  A Camellia Forest Introduction.
